Planning approval granted for new District Centre

Planning permission has now been received for the District Centre which will be located in the heart of the current zone one development and will be the main retail site for residents with Sainsbury’s and Busy Bees nursery already confirmed as tenants.

Planning permission was also granted for six retail units, a gym and four smaller units which will be used for local start-ups.

Urban&Civic is currently in discussions with several occupiers for the retail units and more information will follow once tenants are confirmed.

Infrastructure work on the District Centre will begin in November 2019 with construction for the buildings due to commence in the New Year with completion by Christmas 2020.
