Do you own a Keyless Entry Vehicle?

Date Added 17 January 2022

Northamptonshire Police Rural Crime Team are reminding the owners of vehicles manufactured with keyless entry and ignition systems, to ensure that the car key fob is kept somewhere safe when at home or work.

Please keep them away from window sills and avoid leaving in the back of any door lock. Ideally if you can, keep in a safe secure faraday pouch to prevent devices being used to scan for your vehicle keys remotely. The police are seeing a rise in the theft of ANY class of motor vehicle using this method, not just high performance vehicles as previously seen.

Please report any suspicious activity. If happening at the time call 999, for anything else call 101 or report online.
